Description

Just decided to draw a more detailed version of these three. Ruth and Wes don't look like each other much aha.
I haven't yet introduced you guys to Ezekiel {that dude on the left} so here he is 8D

I'm still working out some backstory stuff so these are just some rough ideas for the three of them. But yes, they live in that Floating City/Mutants plotline with Alinelle, Pyriah, Jenove, Lucy, and Roz.

The circle designs behind each one actually are symbols of who they are. See if you can guess what they mean after you read the quick bios. (Or you can ignore that and just scroll down to the bottom ;-; )

-----

Starting from right to left:

WESLEY EASTWOOD:

He's around his late teens but no older than 21. I don't usually give approximate numbers anymore since it gets confusing after a while. Wes is the stereotypical big-brother type. Always looking out for Ruth. Because their parents died at a young age, Wes was left with the responsibility to keep his little sister safe. You can only imagine the regret he feels for not watching her close enough when Ruth was attacked by a mutant and lost her right eye. (That scar on her cheek is also from the attack). He is aware of the Floating City but does not see it as a threat like everyone else in Downworld does. He believes that the city can be their savior if they capture it's attention. He detaches himself from the mutations, refusing to accept alot of the help Alinelle and her Task Force offers them.

Wes a worry-wart, always thinking of the worst-case scenario and he holds deep grudges. He tries to act tough infront of his little sister but he himself is frightened to the bone about nearly everything. If possible, he would do everything for himself without the help of others, (deep down, it's a reflection of his selfish desire to have Ruth look up to him as a protector. He wants to feel capable.) He envies Ruth for her recklessness, ignorance, and rashness. He isn't the type to take on dauntless feats like jumping on moving cable cars or going into a burning building. He's sort of overly cautious, which has it's backfires later on in the story.

RUTH EASTWOOD:

At most a couple of years younger than Wes. Her personality is sort of gung-ho, always looking for adventure and incredibly impulsive. Despite her brothers warnings to not interact with the mutations, Ruth doesn't descriminate. She works her way towards the most reckless group of teens and sneaks out often at night to do daunting feats and dangerous stunts for fun with them. She simply wants to have adrenaline pumping through her veins. She's often depicted as childish and immature, but Ruth tries to prove her peers wrong. Which sometimes causes conflict between her and her brother. While Wes is content with sitting and waiting for the Floating City to notice them and take them in like lost puppies, Ruth will have none of that.

Despite Wes' disapproval, she secretly signs up for Chief Alinelle's Task Force as a trainee. One part of her decision is to be exposed to all the exciting events the task force gets to be a part of. The other is to fulfill her brother's wish of having the Floating City notice them. (Maybe if she brings attention to herself as an officer at the Task Force, the Floating City will notice that they are human). She isn't as determined to get the city to notice them, but she is aware that if they do, their lives would be a lot easier. She hopes that eventually, her brother will see the light and allow her to live life the way she wants to.

EZEKIEL: {most crap on him since I haven't introduced him yet}

His surname is disclosed. Zeke is a little older than Wes but they are of the same year. He is completely human and was born in the Floating City. However, he was banished to Downworld at the age of 16 for a crime that he doesn't ever discuss. Zeke lost his arm on the first day he was dropped in Downworld to a dog mutant that attacked him. One of Alinelle's parole guards brought him back to base and before he knew it, Zeke was part of her Task Force. Alinelle provided him with a mechanic arm and it has been that way eversince. Under the cheifs wing, Zeke strengthened himself dramatically and eventually made it to his position today. When he isn't doing important government duties, he is the instructor for the trainees who wish to be a part of the Task Force.

Despite him being human, it is well known by many that Zeke is not one to be messed around with. Under Alinelle's influence, Zeke is strict and stern. He doesn't believe in feeling sympathy whenever a trainee or soldier is hurt because he feels that it encourages weakness. If he tells you to run around the city once and in the process you snap your arm, you will complete the mission. He's a firm believer in teamwork and will knock a cocky person down a knotch if they object. He believes that a strong man acknowledges the strength in others. He doesn't believe in fearlessness. Only courage.

Alot of the lower levels are intimidated by him, but those of his own level and a few others know that Zeke isn't always cold. He simply wants to toughen his trainees up just like what Alinelle did to him. He hangs around his fellow officers when he has the time and drinks casually here and there. He's rather sarcastic and teases Ruth and the other trainees alot for his own amusement. He isn't a robot like alot of people think. Like everyone else, he's just a regular young guy who wants to have fun, doing stereotypical dude things, going to underground parties and riding on his motorcycle. He likes to drive around the city and into abandoned buildings just for the heck of it.

-----

Zeke and Wes don't get along much. Wes thinks Zeke's a cocky jerk who likes to fill his ego and do unnecessary risks to make people think he's cool and Zeke thinks of Wes as an over-cautious killjoy who isn't man enough to accept his weaknesses.

Two different sides of good. I guess you can see the conflict there.

And there you have it. If you actually wasted 10 minutes of your life reading that, I'd like to thank you xDD But anyway, just some rough ideas. I'll be writing about them soon. Ruth's point of view. Arg. I'm so lazy why.

I hope I can keep track of these kids ugh. They're an important aspect to the plotline.

Anyway those circles.

Wes has the olive branches, a symbol of the free-fighters {those part of Downworld but not in allegience with Alinelle and Queen Pyriah.}
Ruth has reflections of the city and it's roads. Her desire to simply be a part of the city and know it's every nook and cranny.
Zeke has the gear belts behind him. A symbolism of the order and artilleries provided if you align with the Resistance.

So yeah.

HOLYJUMPIN'CRICKETS, seriously, you draw people so nicely! They all look so distinct and you make them look hot. Like, I'd take them home and just hoard them because this sexiness should not be viewed by everyone. <3333
